Fortuna and Messay took ownership of this Adult Family Home (an existing business) in December of 2019. My mother had been in residence here since May of 2018. Under new ownership, the business of care for senior adults has been upgraded in many ways. The facility has been improved with the addition of safety grab bars in bathrooms, fresh paint on all interior walls, new big-screen TV, and a Kangen water machine. Fortuna kept several of the previous employees and added new ones, creating a Staff of engaged and attentive care-givers who make sure that the quality-of-life experienced by the residents is top-notch. The atmosphere at Legends Living Senior Care is refreshing and alive – a place for residents to live out their lives to the full.

Our mother passed away on October ninth of this year (10/09/2020) at Legends Living Senior Care. She received extraordinary care from the owner and staff, which I know made her 99th year so much better than if she had lived any place else. Their attention to respectful, individual care, nutritious, high quality food and drink, outstanding skin and circulation care, and emotional wellbeing--- to name a few specifics---was above and beyond expectancy. When our mother was hospitalized at one point, Fortuna came to see her every day of her stay and brought in special homemade protein drinks for her each visit. Fortuna frequently stays late and even overnight, to provide extra care for her charges. Another great benefit for our mother, and the other residents, was the close collaboration Fortuna shared with the outside health care providers and hospice professionals. I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say that the fortunate seniors that live at Legends Living Senior Care are treated like special family members by the owners and staff.

Our mother enjoyed living at Legends Living .. .from the in-house "spa days" to the delicious meals to music in the beautiful backyard on sunny days. The owner and caregivers provided excellent care in a loving, respectful and compassionate environment and felt like an extension of our family. At end of life stages, the care and nurturing provided to mother went above and beyond our expectations and made mother's final transition very peaceful and as stress-free as possible. We highly ·recommend Legends Living Senior Care for anyone wishing to receive excellent care in a family home environment with an owner and staff that will treat and care for you or your loved one(s) as family.

My Dear Fortuna, How long was my mother living with you all? Some of us think it was one year but I thought it was 2 years or more. However long it was every minute was precious care for mother. She was cared for in a very personal way, in a lovely home, with good food, and where her every need was met. We had our whole east coast family together tonight for a wonderful dinner honoring ‘Irma the Great’ which we all call her. Legends Living Senior care is a special place. I moved my mother into this loving home two months ago and knew from the first day that it was the right place for her. The owner, her family and her caregivers are kind and attentive to each individual living in the home. Special care is given to the residents’ health care needs. Medications are carefully administered based on the resident’s doctors’ specifications and meticulous records are kept. The caregivers adjust to the resident’s individual personalities the owner and her staff work with each family to make sure proper attention is given to their loved ones likes and dislikes. Beyond the individual care each resident receives is the environment that the Provider creates in the home. The home is well kept, sparkling clean and tastefully decorated. The home always smells amazing from the great smells in the kitchen to the misting essential oils prepared for improving relaxation. Organic foods are cooked from scratch, water, various teas, and fluids are encouraged and placed conveniently were the resident is easily able to reach. Attention is placed on skin care; my mother’s skin has never looked so good. The ladies have beauty days including facials, hair and nail care. Friends and family are encouraged to visit anytime and can join in on the fun. I visit frequently not only to spend time with my mother but to enjoy the friendly happy group. I rest easier now knowing that my mother is cared for in a respectful and kind way. She is healthier and happier at Legends Living Senior Care with girl friends that she cares about and has fun experiences with. It is truly a real life “Golden Girls” environment. My family is relieved and blessed to have found this jewel in Edmonds.
