Blue Haven staff provides fantastic care for my parents, aged 96 and 97. I often arrive for visits unannounced and my parents are always clean, well dressed and in good spirits. There is always a caregiver in the kitchen cooking up wonderful meals. Residents are not simply parked in front of a TV all day, but often participate in daily activities. It is an exceptionally clean home; bright and cheery and residents can have privacy in their own bedrooms or enjoy the goings on in the great room. Caregivers are kind and patient. Blue Haven is a blessing.

Blue Haven is an excellent facility. I searched and visited many assisted living and adult family homes in the Burien, Normandy Park, Des Moines, and Kent area and Blue Haven was by far the best facility I visited. It was very clean and had a great layout; it was bright and cheery with a wheel chair accessible bathroom in every room. The staff led by Mariza are the best part of the facility; they are very caring and dedicated people. They provided great care to my dad; they were very patient and did all they could to keep his quality of life as good as possible. My dad has passed away now, but I’m glad to know he had the best care possible during his last days thanks to Mariza and the staff at Blue Haven.

Blue Haven Adult Family Home in South Seattle is absolutely wonderful! In September of 2016 my mother, 91, arrived at Blue Haven in bad condition following a medical crisis that precluded her from living in assisted living or skilled nursing, or her own home. Because of the compassionate, loving, personalized, attentive,quality care in a beautiful environment, she has been able to return to her own home in Feb. of 2017 . We actually cried when she left Blue Haven, because we have grown so fond of and grateful to Mariza and her husband Henok , the owners/operators of Blue Haven. Mom already misses the good cooking. Blue Haven hires only the best help, and is willing to adjust to the needs of any resident. When our family was choosing Blue Haven for my then hospitalized mom, we told Mariza that Mom would have to have heavy window coverings to keep the light out of her room. Heavy curtains were hung within 24 hours!! When mom was well enough, Henok cheerfully drove her to places she wanted to go in north Seattle, and made sure she was safe participating in various activities. Phone calls, texts and emails were timely and we felt very well connected to Blue Haven at all times. Mariza knew what to do when my mom had emergency symptoms and needed medical intervention. Every member of our family has said that should any of us need that level of care, we would head straight for Blue Haven.

I spend a lot of time in Adult Family Homes as a Home Health/Hospice nurse. I have to say Blue Haven Adult Family Home is run very well. The home is very clean and well staffed by happy and attentive caregivers. The owner is at the home frequently and responsive to any issues. When I arrive at the home to provide care, I see well cared for residents that look genuinely happy. I would not hesitate to refer this Adult Family Home to friends who are looking for a very safe and high quality home.

We had a wonderful experience with Mariza and her staff at Blue Haven. They were all genuinely kind and very caring in their care for our Grandma Pauline. As Pauline's health took a turn for the worse Mariza took time to visit with her in the hospital going above and beyond what was expected of her. I entertain at many different facilities: Blue Haven is a step above others. I am always impressed with the cleanliness of the residence and how friendly and engaging the staff are to the residents. I highly recommend Blue Haven if you are looking for high level of care for your love ones!
