Genet has been managing adult family home since 2014 and has been working directly with individuals with 24-hour care needs for the past 15years.
GENET believes that providing each individual with optimal care, taking into consideration an individual’s personal needs and preferences, values open communication and will work to ensure that every resident of 1st access home care feels at home.
Genet is a Registered Nurse who works in the hospital medical surgical floor, she provides direct patients care in a long-term care facility, daily nursing assessment, safely administer oral, intramuscular and subcutaneous medications, she is also experienced with peg tubes, Foley catheters, different iv lines, patient assessments and completed Mental Health Specialty Course, developmentally Disabilities Specialty Course and Dementia Specialty Course. She is responsible for contacting a resident’s case manager, primary physician and/or resident representative as needed if a resident has health, social, emotional, financial or other issues.
If she is not in the at the AFH, she will ensure the staff caring for residents meets all state requirements for caregivers in adult family homes and caregivers can reach her 24 hours a day to ensure medical problems or questions are quickly triaged.
