Family’s Choice Care Adult Family Home is managed by Emmalyn Castillo, a Nurse who graduated from the University of Cordillera in the Philippines with Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

When she first arrived in the United States, her family told her not to work yet as they knew that she would need more time to pursue her nursing degree. Earning her nursing degree did take the backseat as she worked three different jobs and only had 3 to 4 hours of sleep each night. However, for Emmalyn, the care she provided to patients was well worth the time she put towards her work. She believes that being a nurse is the most important role that contributes to better health for her clients.

She worked in different settings ranging from Tertiary Hospital, Community Services, Assisted Living, senior care homes, individual provider, private Nurse, Nursing home, and managed Adult family home since 2011. Finally, she found her calling when she started her own Adult Family Home. Family’s Choice Care Adult Family Home is where the residents can feel safe and receive the most affordable services, with the most personalized care according to their needs and preferences.

About Us:

Family’s Choice Care Adult Family Home is a state-licensed Adult Family Home that offers memory care, nursing, rehabilitation, hospice and/or respite care for seniors or older adults with specific needs. We accommodate seniors who can no longer live independently due to mobility difficulties. Where they need assistance, we are ready to help!

To us, caring for residents at Family’s Choice Care Adult Family Home is more than just a job. We treat our residents like family. As much as possible, we strive to preserve their health with the personalized care and unique accommodations at our facility. Our owner graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in Philippines and is a Washington State Certified Nurse Assistant specializing in helping patients with Diabetes, Dementia, and Mental Health. The owner participates in active learning and attends classes to update her knowledge as the landscape of health care continually changes with technology and medical breakthroughs.

Care giving is the core of total health especially to elders. It is the most essential job and we do everything in our capacity to fulfill this job and exceed expectations.
