About Us:
All Saints is family owned and operated. We provide high quality care with each resident receiving personal and special attention focusing on their individual needs. We allow our residents to be as independent as possible while receiving the necessary care to meet their physical and emotional needs. We have made it our mission to improve or maintain our resident quality of life. Family and friendly play a vital role in our mission and are invited to visit and be part of their loved one's care through our open-door policy.
The owner/provider of this home is a Registered Nurse with 15 years of experience working with Geriatrics patients in various care settings; Hospital, Nursing Home and Home Health. He has a good understanding of the Geriatric population, their comorbidity, polypharmacy and how to maximize potential at their age. We provide trained and qualified caregivers, 24 hours, 7 days a week. We have an awake caregiver for some of our residents that need care at night.
We focus on these core values to achieve our mission;
1. Encourage mental and physical activities
We offer exercise activities every morning except on Sunday. These are simple sit down exercises that involve stretching and movement. Exercise activities boost the immune system, lowers blood pressure, improves sleep quality, heart health, strength and much more. We also play "brain games" such as Sudoku and crossword puzzles in the afternoon to help improve cognitive functions.
2. Creating simple daily goals
It is in our DNA "to do something daily" and this does not stop as people age. Every day we set simply daily goals for our residents to help them feel a sense of accomplishment. These goals could be as simply as finishing a glass of orange juice with meals, walking 30 feet, finishing a puzzle and so on.
3. Maintaining family, friends and community connections
At this home we have open door policy, family and friends are encouraged to visit loved ones whenever they are available. Research has shown that seniors who are isolated and lonely have shorter lives and are at greater risk for developing dementia.
4. Asking for help
People of all ages want to feel needed. In this home we do our best to make our residents feel more wanted and less of a burden. We ask for help with simple tasks they can handle such as; folding laundry, organizing drawers, opening the mail, writing grocer list, clipping coupons, prepping meals, etc.
